Add a little rose to your Cinco de Mayo celebration with a Rose Margarita. This delicious libation is easy to batch up or serve individually. MyScoop has the recipes by the glass and by the pitcher:
Rose Margarita, serves 2
3 oz Grand Mayan 3D Silver Tequila (or other blanco tequila)
2 oz rose petal syrup (see below for recipe)
1 lime, freshly squeezed
Club Soda
Rose bud, blossom, or petal for garnish
Directions:
In a cocktail shaker combine tequila, rose syrup, and lime juice over rocks. Shake vigorously. Pour into a pink Himalayan salt rimmed glass over ice or serve it up. Add a splash of club soda and garnish with rose if desired.
2 cups Grand Mayan 3D Silver Tequila (or other blanco tequila)
1 cup rose petal syrup
3 limes, freshly squeezed
Club Soda (optional)
Directions:
In a pitcher combine tequila, rose petal syrup, lime juice, and stir. Top with club soda if desired and add ice to serve.
Rose Petal Syrup
2 cups rose petals
4 cups water
2-3 cups organic sugar
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a large saute pan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes. Let cool. Strain through a fine mesh strainer into storage container.
