Basil Mule

Oh The Moscow Mule, there should be songs written about this drink it is so good and so refreshing. As much as I love the traditional Moscow Mule, I decided to kick it up a notch on the refreshing scale by adding basil…what?!?!? I’ll give you a minute to let that sink in…yes, basil and let me tell you, your taste buds will be blown away.

Basil Mule

4 basil leaves, chopped

Agave Nectar (to taste, I like a mule without it)

1/2 lime, zested

2 oz vodka (I used Texas made Deep Eddy’s)

3 oz ginger beer (I use Fever Tree)

Directions:

In a cocktail shaker muddle basil leaves, half lime, lime zest, and agave nectar. Then add ice and vodka. Shake and strain into copper mug over ice. Top with ginger beer and stir. Garnish with basil leaves.
